Ministry of Micklands

Micklands Primary School > Our School > Ministry of Micklands

The Ministry of Micklands is our School Council group. It is made up of the children at the school that have been elected from their class or year group.

These children help the school to make important decisions about the environment, the community and the health and wellbeing of the school.

Our focus for this academic year will be centred around three key issues: community, well-being and environment.

Through The Ministry, students will have a platform to voice their ideas, concerns and suggestions to their class representatives.

We held a class vote and here are our reps for The Ministry of Micklands:

Year 1: Leo and Lorelei

Year 2: Verity and Lowen

Year 3: Jessica and Lucy

Year 4: Orla and Azaelea

Year 5: Halle and Oscar

Year 6: Holly and Lacey

As part of our commitment to better the health and well-being of our pupils, the Ministry will be exploring various initiatives aimed at promoting kindness and understanding amongst our school community.

In addition to this, the Ministry will be brainstorming innovative ways to collaborate with our local community, fostering a sense of unity.

The Ministry will also be looking for creative solutions to reduce energy consumption around the school, showing our commitment to sustainability and environmental awareness.

Stay tuned for more updates on these exciting initiatives – we now have a new display at reception that will be filled with the Ministry’s action plans, meeting minutes, announcements and lots more!
